BeComing Mobile Day Spa

Serving the entire Tampa and central Florida market, BeComing Mobile Day Spa gives a whole new meaning to the word "convenient." Bad traffic, limited parking, unexpected waiting and a lack of privacy are just some of the hassles I've encountered throughout my experiences at spas and salons. BeComing eliminates those inconveniences entirely with its 31-foot, air-conditioned, well-appointed Winnebago that brought a full-service menu of spa services literally to my doorstep. Services can be performed on-site or inside the RV by owner/founder Ruth Holmgren and her staff.

I stepped inside the mobile spa not quite sure what to expect. What awaited me was an innovative concept - a totally relaxing spa environment on wheels. Clad in luxury, the vehicle was adorned with a soft couch with deep red cushions, a trickling waterfall and all the necessities for performing the latest spa services.

My first treatment was a Soothing Herbal Relaxation Body Wrap designed to rid the body of toxins and instantly alleviate aches and pains. To prepare, I changed into disposable undergarments, which were graciously provided, along with an amazingly comfortable silk robe. Infused with lavender, ylang-ylang, lemongrass and various other herbs designed to relax the body, the warm wrap instantly relieved tension throughout my entire body. The treatment concluded with a relaxing neck massage. With the tone of pampering now set, I was ready to indulge in my next service, a Hot Stone Pedicure.

I can't recall the last pedicure I experienced that was as quiet, relaxing and healing as this one was. It began with a soak in a warm, china bowl footbath peppered with dried rose petals and chamomile. She applied an aromatherapy foot scrub product by Amber to exfoliate the skin, which was followed by a hot stone foot massage. Next, a vast selection of OPI nail polish colors and a range of artistic designs were presented for my choosing. The expert application of polish was the perfect topper to this wonderful experience. But the best part was perhaps the fact that I didn't have to worry about smudging the polish on my way home, as I was already there!

Completing my experience was an Oxylift Facial, a treatment intended to relax and heal the skin. It began with a light mist of soothing aromatherapy spray and an application of cooling lotion by Cosmedical, one in a full line of products especially formulated by dermatologists for use by professional estheticians. Then she applied a cooling eye mask to reduce puffiness around and below my eyes. Ruth completed the treatment with a creamy, soft lotion with SPF that left my skin feeling light, refreshed and renewed.

My entire experience with BeComing Mobile Day Spa left me feeling totally pampered and actually called into question all the time I've wasted going to and from other spas in the area. The privacy, quietness and personal attention that BeComing offers confirms Ruth's motto - "beauty driven can't be beat."

BeComing Mobile Day Spa can service almost any residence, hotel room, community hall and workplace and will cater to any type of event, from corporate, church and community events to bachelorette and wedding parties.
